Dylan Hache, For Wheels Auto Funny Car Will Be Part of Cruise-In in London

May 4, 2012 - Kitchener, ON – With its inaugural event just two weeks away, the NDRA Alcohol Funny Car Series presented by Ohsweken Speedway is joining forces with a “car guys” mainstay in the London, Ontario region, the Classic Car Cruise-In car show, held every Sunday from May until September.

The event, which has been running for more than 20 years, features a wide range of custom and classic cars, all brought together by their owner’s love for the automobile. Adding a different flavour to the mix this Sunday, May 6, the first official Cruise-In for 2012, will be the 3000 horsepower Alcohol Funny Car of Dylan Hache, who hails from London, along with the two six second doorslammers of Dave Earhart and Trevor Deeks from the HURA, all of which will be part of the RPM Magazine/Lucas Oil Extreme Event taking place at Grand Bend Motorplex, Victoria Day Weekend, May 18-20.

The Classic Car Cruise-In takes place in the Canadian Tire parking lot located at 1975 Dundas Street East in London, Ontario and runs from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM. For more information you can contact show organizer Bill Dobbie at 519-660-0895.

With the sponsorship the class will be running for $1000 to win $400 to runner up, $225 for semis and $75 for QTRS with a full 12 car field, and will also have trophies for winner and runner.

The Jr class is very exciting with Corriveau Concrete stepping up to sponsor this class. This means Year end purses for Jrs are guarenteed with the Champion winning $300, a special championship trophy +15 Gallons of Methanol. Second place will take away $200 plus 10 gallons of methanol+ trophy, third place $100 plus 10 gallons of methanol + trophy, fourth place $75 plus 5 gallons of methanol + trophy and fifth place $50 plus 5 gallons of methanol + trophy. Not to be forgotten, point’s finishers 6th through 10th place will also take home trophys as well as be part of a special draw to win 10 gallons of methanol fuel.

All the Fuel is being donated by Kevin Goodacre from Badlands Racing in Niagara Falls.

Next is a special Bounty hunter program that has just been announced. Liqui-Tech Canada and Greenlight property Maintenance are bringing a bounty hunter program to the series! The MOD and Super Pro winners from Saturday will have a $50 bounty on them sunday! First person to beat them in the main event takes home the cash!
